Story Crate is a monthly book-based subscription designed to spark language, literacy, and imaginative play through hands-on learning. Each crate is thoughtfully curated by a licensed speech-language pathologist and teacher and includes engaging materials that help children connect with stories in meaningful ways.

The monthly theme is revealed in advance, but the book and mini objects remain a surprise, making every delivery extra exciting! (Follow us on Instagram for sneak peaks of the book and more)

What’s Included in Each Story Crate?

Each monthly crate includes:

📘 One children’s book

🧺 A Say & Play Mini Object™ Story Kit featuring mini objects that pair with the story for interactive storytelling and play

🖨️ Print & Play activities to extend learning at home

✨ A surprise bonus item (examples may include playdough, sensory materials, large play pieces, kinetic sand, and more)

All materials are selected to encourage language development, creativity, and imaginative play.

⚠️ Mini objects are small and intended for use with adult supervision. Not recommended for children who still mouth objects.

How Ordering Works!

Story Crates ship once per month, typically around the middle of the month.

To allow time for planning, ordering, and preparing materials, subscriptions close at the end of each month.

👉 Order anytime during the month and your first crate will be the following month’s crate. For example, if you order anytime during June, your first crate will be July’s crate.

👉 Orders placed after the last day of the month begin with the following month’s crate.

This helps ensure every crate is fully prepared and ready to ship on schedule.

What ages are Story Crates designed for?

Recommended for ages 2–7, though activities can easily be adapted for toddlers through early elementary learners.

What comes in each crate?

Each crate includes a children’s book, a Say & Play™ Story Kit with coordinating mini objects, Print & Play activities, and a surprise bonus item.

When will my first crate ship?

Your first crate will ship around the middle of the month associated with your subscription start date.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Because subscriptions are prepaid, purchases are non-refundable. Please be sure of your selection before ordering.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes! Local pickup is available in Northern Michigan and includes a discount since shipping is not required.

Is this a good gift?

Absolutely. Story Crates make wonderful gifts for birthdays, holidays, classrooms, grandparents, and little book lovers.

Does my subscription automatically renew?

No. Story Crate subscriptions never auto-renew. When your subscription ends, you may choose whether or not to purchase another subscription.
