What is a Superbill?

A Superbill is a detailed invoice that allows you to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider for out-of-network services.

At Speech and Smile Therapy Services, we don’t bill insurance directly, but we provide you with a monthly Superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider to request reimbursement. Each Superbill includes:

Diagnostic and treatment codes (ICD-10 and CPT codes)

SLP/OT’s name, NPI, and license number

Dates of each session

Amount paid for services

Speech and Smile’s address, EIN, and NPI numbers

Tip: Contact your insurance provider to confirm they accept out-of-network Superbills for speech and/or occupational therapy. 

How does a Superbill help?

Because Speech and Smile is an out-of-network provider, a Superbill enables you to request partial or full reimbursement for your therapy costs. We provide Superbills monthly (or as needed), making it easy for you to submit them and stay organized with all treatment details clearly documented.
