Speech-Language Development TIP OF THE WEEK
Use Extension Activities!
By extending activities, you allow for more practice with the same skill area, but in different engaging ways. This will help with long term memory of skills, increase confidence, and improve carry over of learned skills to other settings.
Extension activity ideas
1. After a book is read re-create the story with manipulatives, either paper story props or mini objects.
2. After a manipulative activity is completed, follow up with a printable activity focused on the same skill.
