Meet the Occupational Therapist!
Carrie began her professional journey as an Occupational Therapist after graduating from Western Michigan University in 2016. She returned to her home in Northern Michigan and began working in outpatient neurological rehabilitation. Since the brain is the "control center" for the body, occupational therapy treatment encompassed a variety of skills including: executive functioning, visual-motor skills, visual-perception skills, fine and gross motor skills, reaction time, processing speeds, ADL/iADLs and more. Carrie has continued her training to include primitive reflex assessment and integration through the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) program and various other skilled professionals.
In 2021 Carrie stepped out of the therapy world as she and her husband welcomed their first child. Now a mother of two, she is excited to return to the clinic using her background in neurological rehabilitation, training in primitive reflexes and the visual system to help children and their families gain skills needed for accomplishing every-day activities.
